It symbolizes Synesthesia which is a neurological condition that lets people see, smell, hear and even taste in color. The type fits the illustration well as it compliments each other even through its content of information.  Pop art in a mature and evolving generation of artists. It is a change in the way we view the queen of hearts. It speaks more to the young generation of the world. The color red symbolizes beauty and seduction. The type compliments the illustration and is well structured. The color of the text matches the colors used for the queen of hearts and simplicity is displayed in the layout which works well for order and clarity.

The genre used here is photography that displays maturity and is subtle in black and white. The photo symbolizes beauty in urban life as the women relaxes on the zebra crossing, could possibly show unity as well, becoming on with the street or exhaustion. The type is well structured, I like the fact that the crossing has been used as guide lines and creating positive and negative space. This is a view into fashion photography.

International Typographic Styles and Principles

ITS: International Typographic Style is a design movement created in Switzerland and Germany. The visual characteristics of ITS include the unity of design achieved by asymmetrical organization on a mathematically constructed grid. The use san-serif expresses a progressive age. Verbal information is displayed in a clear and factual manner. (Meggs, Philip B. et al. 1998).
